  • All permanent makeup retention relies on many different factors and varies person to person. The color you choose, your lifestyle, touchups and how you care for them post and pre appointment will affect how long the pigment stays in the skin. On average, lip blush fades away within 2-5 years, with most people wanting a yearly touch up appointment to maintain best results.

  • Swelling and tenderness immediately after the procedure is normal and may last a day or two. Your lips may look like you just got lip filler. This is completely normal and swelling typically subsides within the first 24 hours.

PLAN YOUR SCHEDULE ACCORDINGLY. Your lips will appear darker for the first few days before they start to scab. Lips have the fastest and easiest healing time in permanent makeup. Typically, it only takes 5-10 days to heal. During your healing time you will need to apply ointment on your lips as they will appear chapped. You will come back 10-12 weeks after your procedure for your follow up appointment.

  • The initial appointment takes roughly 2-3 hours. Touch up appointments take around 1.5-2 hours.

  • If you are prone to cold sores or fever blisters you MUST be on an anti-viral medication such as Valtrex 3 days before and 3 days after your appointment or as advised by your doctor or physician. Please be aware that if you have the simplex virus you may awaken an outbreak post procedure. If your appointment is booked during an outbreak of cold sores on your lips the procedure may NOT be done. Even if you haven’t experienced a cold sore or fever blister you may have the virus in your body and you may experience a break out. It is recommended to take an anti-viral before all lip blushing procedures.

  • Absolutely! Although, lip filler MUST be done at least 4 weeks before or after your lip blush appointment.
